Biography
Victoria Waddail joined the F&M team in August 2021. As Director of Operations, she is responsible for management of the Slate CRM, application processing, and general data integrity.
Victoria previously worked in survey research, politics, and public affairs for nearly 8 years before making a career change into admission. She enjoys the parallels between her prior career and a career in admission: the cyclical nature of both fields, as well as the importance of marketing and brand identity, precise messaging, and accurate and prudent use of data. Victoria spends her days finding new efficiencies that blend the goals of a student centric experience and improved processes within the enrollment management division.
Victoria loves being back on a small liberal arts campus and is passionate about the benefits of a liberal arts education. She credits her liberal arts education and her Division 3 athletics experience as a captain of the field hockey team for her ability to successfully make a substantial career shift by having confidence in the translation of her skills to a new field. She lives with her husband and son in York, PA and loves Baltimore sports (go birds!), summers in OCNJ, reading, and sharing the joy of lifelong learning with her son.
What does being a Diplomat mean to you?
Being an F&M Diplomat means collaborating to find the best path forward. On our campus I鈥檓 constantly impressed at how our students blend their interests and find new passions. Faculty and staff also embody the diplomat spirit by collaborating to create a supportive environment, and I鈥檓 always encouraged and inspired by my colleagues!
What is your favorite spot on campus?
Hartman Green. It truly feels like the heart of campus and on a warm day you can feel the vibrancy of the F&M community! Plus, it鈥檚 the location of Spring Arts Festival, a fun and unique tradition for our students.
What is your favorite part about Lancaster?
The cultural diversity and accessibility. It鈥檚 a cool city with tons of fun opportunities to explore, AND we can be in NYC in a couple hours on the train!
